I identify with a lot of this especially the fear that no one is ever going to read my stuff because people just don’t read much at all, and certainly not poetry! πŸ™‚

RE seeing someone in public reading your book. My hope is a little different. It would be so cool to go into a thrift store and find my poetry chapbook that I signed for someone, on the shelf. hee hee hee.

    1. When I worked in a library, I always wondered about the author-signed books and the ones with notes from giver to recipient that came in as gifts to the library. Had they been valued and read, and were being given away after the owner’s death, or were they rejects?

    I enjoyed the podcast.
I can relate to writers’ block. It seems that you can, somehow, just fall out of love with something you loved doing. For me it’s painting. I painted off an on all my life, but five or six years ago I started to run out of ideas to paint. I have to force myself to just paint my book covers these days. Unfortunately I haven’t a clue as to how to rekindle that love. Maybe it takes an effort, maybe just time. Maybe it’s a chapter in your book of life. Who knows? Good luck!

I can’t think of any fears in writing. My hope is that my work will be in someone’s library and on someone’s walls a hundred years from now.
